In terms of color temperature, 4000K and 6000K produce similar light output (lumens), but they appear different to the eye. A 4000K light gives off a neutral white tone, while 6000K appears as a cool, bluish-white light that can seem brighter because of its higher color temperature and contrast. However, both deliver comparable actual brightness, the difference is mainly in color appearance, not lumen output. For most outdoor and commercial applications, 4000K–5000K offers a balance between visibility, comfort, and natural color rendering.
