OSHA(Occupational Safety and Health Administration) requires that emergency lighting be provided for exit routes, ensuring sufficient illumination for safe evacuation during emergencies according to the code listed in 29 CFR 1910.37(b). Lighting must provide sufficient visibility, and be in a reliable working order at all times. Additionally, it should be automated during an event of power failure. Our emergency light fixtures come standard with 90 minute emergency battery back ups to help abide by these conditions. There are options that do not provide batteries, if required, in case some facilities have existing back up power generators.
