(S22216)For a Par38, this is a very good bulb and has a fairly high lumen rating. The color temperature will always make a difference, as these are a soft white, illuminating a yellowish tone, they are good for any area. For a more modern looking area, a daylight bulb in a 5000k color temperature will definitely bring a new look, while providing the illumination for a good work area. However, color temperature is always a personal preference. This bulb will provide a strong light, but to bring out a vibrant color in the area, you can look in to finding a higher color temperature.
