Yes, a ballast bypass bulb will require you to rewire the fixture so the power input wires connect directly to the sockets.

Do i have rewire my T8 fixtures to eliminate the ballast when I install ballast bypass led tube. I want to eliminate changing ballast all the time because there are 32 tubes on a 14' ceiling.
