I have two 8' fixtures that use four 4' tubes. Right now they have 4 t8 tubes in them. If I change to LED t8 tubes do I have to replace the ballast in the fixtures? I have two of these 8' fixtures and want to use LED tubes but I don't really want to change anything in the fixtures. I would want to continue to use the ballast type if I can as the fixtures are in a place where I cannot get inside the fixture.

It is normally recommended to use ballast bypass bulbs, as this eliminates extra hardware in the system that may potentially go bad. However, we do offer ballast compatible LED tubes that will work with electronic instant start T8 ballasts. You must confirm the type of ballast before installation to prevent any damage to the bulbs. Also, all bulbs in the circuit must be replaced at the same time to prevent any issues with the LEDs.
