A general spacing guideline for post top lighting is approximately 2 to 3 times the mounting height. For example, at 16 feet high using the 60W setting, poles may be spaced 32 to 40 feet apart for balanced pedestrian lighting. At 20 to 22 feet high using the 100W configuration, spacing between 40 and 60 feet apart is common for parking areas and commercial perimeter lighting.
