A photocell sensor detects changes in ambient light using a light‑sensitive component called a photoresistor. When natural light falls below a preset threshold at dusk, the photocell activates the circuit and turns the light on. When daylight increases in the morning, the sensor opens the circuit and switches the light off automatically.
