A light sensor is a general term for any device that detects and responds to light, converting it into an electrical signal. A photocell, also known as a photoresistor or LDR (Light Dependent Resistor), is a specific type of light sensor whose resistance changes based on the amount of light falling on it. In short, all photocells are light sensors, but not all light sensors are photocells.
