10 AWG wire has a larger conductor than 12 AWG wire and may be specified where the electrical design requires the characteristics of the larger conductor. This collection includes primarily 12 AWG configurations along with select 10 AWG products. Wire gauge should be selected according to the circuit design, equipment requirements, and applicable electrical codes—not simply by choosing the larger size.
